The Buttercup Family (Ranunculaceae)

The Buttercup Family is a very large genus of flowering plants and includes annuals, perennials and woody climbers like

Traveller's Joy (Clematis vitalba). Not all members of this family are yellow as the family also includes Monkshood (blue), Wood Anemones (white) and Hellebores (green). It must also be noted that most of the plants in this family are poisonous.
